Our Teachers

All teachers employed by Every Little Soul Music have completed the Music Together® teacher training sponsored by the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, New Jersey. They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development. We are pleased to bring our experience and passion for children and music to families in Greensburg and surrounding communities.

Elizabeth Polinsky

Elizabeth has had some form of music in her life since childhood. She grew up dancing, taking instrument lessons, and playing flute and saxophone in many bands and orchestras. Elizabeth received her bachelor’s degree in music education from Virginia Tech in 2006. She spent 8 years teaching elementary music, fifth grade beginning band, fourth and fifth grade chorus, and directing school musicals in Maryland and Virginia.
Elizabeth was introduced to Music Together by taking her son AJ to a “try it” class. She was immediately hooked and knew she wanted to be a part of this wonderful program. In 2015 she successfully completed the Music Together Teacher Training Workshop developed by the Center for Music and Young Children, Princeton, New Jersey. She is so happy to have found a way to combine her love of music and working with young children and their families.

photo Gretchen Hoffer

Gretchen is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has worked in the mental health field for 12 years. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and then went on to get her master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. She is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and currently works in a private practice in Pittsburgh with both hearing and deaf individuals.
Gretchen completed the Teacher Training Workshop developed by the Center for Music and Young Children, Princeton, New Jersey in February 2015. She found the Music Together program by chance when she attended a class with her sister and her niece on a visit to Maryland. After one class she was hooked and upon returning home immediately looked up a local class for her to attend with her son, Brodie. That was January 2010 and Gretchen has been attending Music Together classes with Miss Candice ever since with both Brodie and her second son, Ryley.
Gretchen had an upbringing rich with music. She was raised in a family where music, dance, and performance were all around her. From a young age she started in dance and then soon after in instrumental music. She started playing the cello at age 7 and played continuously through college. Gretchen has a passion for singing and participated in many chorus groups, choirs, and musical theater through schools and summer camps. She is excited to bring her love and passion of music and movement to Every Little Soul Music.
